inSync Client installation fails with an error

Problem description

inSync Client installation fails with the following error: 

“The cabinet file ''" required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM or a problem with this package.”

A .cab file within the installation package is corrupt.  While downloading the installation files from the internet, certain proxy server or firewall settings or security software may cause corruption within the .cab file.


Download the fresh inSync Client setup on a network that is not managed by a proxy server or security software.
