How to add the Root of a Linux device for Backup.

Overview

To be able to backup the Root folder on the Linux machines.

Procedure 

  1. Log in to the inSync administrator console.

  2. Click Profiles from the top menu and then click on a profile name.

  3. Navigate to Devices under this profile and click Edit.

  4. Click on Linux and click +Add Folder.

Folder to be backed up: /\
Folder display name: Root (for example)

  1. Click Save.

Disclaimer: Please add necessary exclusions to keep the backup size and backup duration in check.
