Overview

This article covers the following topics:

What is the expected “From” and “Reply-To” address, which would show up if I receive a Report/Alert?

The “From” address would be the SMTP username set under the Manage >> Settings >> SMTP >> Email Setup on the Druva Admin console. The “Reply-to” address would be the value set under Manage >> Settings >> SMTP >> Email Customization.

For SMTP servers which support “Anonymous” logins, set up the SMTP username and password as blank. The “From” address would then be set to the “Reply-to” address set in Druva.

What is the expected “From” and “Reply-to” address which would show for emails received when a User shares some data with another User?

The “From” address would be the SMTP username set under the Manage >> Settings >> SMTP >> Email Setup on the Druva Admin Console. However, the label would show up as the name of the end user. The “Reply-to” address would be the email address of the user who has shared the data.

For SMTP servers which support “Anonymous” logins, customers would set up the SMTP username and password as blank. The “From” address would then be set to the “Reply-to” address set in Druva.

Note: It is important to look at the Email headers to find out the “From” and “Reply-to” address.
