How to enable eDiscovery for Google Workspace data?
License editions: To understand the applicable license editions, see Plans & Pricing.
As an inSync Cloud administrator , you can place legal holds on Google Workspace data. This reduces the amount of time that IT personnel spend manually collecting and managing data. You can then access the user's legal hold data from Google Workspace by using WebDAV.
To enable eDiscovery for Google Workspace data:
- Create a legal hold policy or update an existing legal hold policy to preserve the Google Workspace backup data and avoid data deletion. For more information, see Create a Legal Hold policy.
- Access the user's legal hold data from Google Workspace by using WebDAV. For more information, see Access legal hold data using WebDAV.
You can also see the distribution of the data depending on where the data resides at the Data by Source area on the Data Governance page.
