The Overview page provides you a more comprehensive view of all the configured Google Workspace applications at a glance.

Overview

The Overview page provides you a more comprehensive view of all the configured Google Workspace applications at a glance.  

Access Path

Sign in to Druva Cloud Platform Console and navigate to  Microsoft 365 > Google Workspace.

The Google Workspace Overview page appears.

The following information is displayed on the Overview page:

Component Description
Summary
App-wise size distribution

The number in the center of the pie chart displays the total size of backed up data for configured Google Workspace apps. Also, displays a percentage value of data backup for each Google Workspace apps - Gmail, Google Drive, and Shared Drives.

Note: The ~ symbol is displayed if the  percentage value  is  in decimal. For example, if the percent value is 0.1%, it is displayed as ~0%.

Hover over the pie chart to view the data size distribution of specific configured Google Workspace apps.

App Status

Displays the status of your configured Google Workspace apps.

  • Connected: Google Workspace app is configured and connected.

  • Not Connected: Google Workspace app connection was configured but got disconnected due to some technical issues. Reconfigure the Google Workspace app to re-establish the connection.

Last Configured Displays the date of the last successful configuration.
Configured Google Workspace apps

Gmail

If you have configured Gmail, you can view the following details:

  • The total number of user mailboxes protected

  • The total backup size of data protected within Gmail

  • The total backup status, a pie-chart that provides you information about the following:

    • Number of successful backups

    • Number of failed backups

    • Number of  backups with errors

    • Failed backup count

You can click on the number of user mailboxes to navigate to the Gmail details page.

Google Drive

If you have configured Google Drive, you can view the following details:

  • The total number of users protected

  • The total backup size of data protected within Google Drive

  • The total backup status, a pie-chart that provides you information about the following:

    • Number of successful backups

    • Number of failed backups

    • Number of  backups with errors

    • Failed backup count

You can click on the number of users to navigate to the Google Drive details page.

Shared Drives

If you have configured Shared Drives, you can view the following details:

  • The total number of Shared Drives protected

  • The total backup size of data protected within Shared Drives

  • The total backup status, a pie-chart that provides you information about the following:

    • Number of successful backups

    • Number of failed backups

    • Number of  backups with errors

    • Failed backup count

You can click on the number of Shared Drives to navigate to the Shared Drives details page.

Live Activities

Track and monitor the ongoing backup and restore activities across the data sources through the Live Activities tracker.

The following table lists the fields in the Live Activities section.

Field Description
Backups The number of backup activities that are in progress. 
Restores The number of restore activities that are in progress. 

Note:

  • Click on the statistics to navigate to the Live Activities page to know more about in-progress activities.
  • Pending restore requests older than 30 days are not displayed on the Live Activities page.
  • Pending restore requests older than 30 days are automatically canceled by inSync. Information about such auto-canceled requests is available in the Restore Activity report.

Backup and Restore Information for all user workloads

As a Cloud Administrator, you can view the following information for all configured user workloads:

  • Backup Data Trend
  • Backup Data Distribution
  • Daily Backup Trend
  • Restore Summary

Backup Data Trend

The Backup Data Trend chart displays the bandwidth savings for the period of the last 90 days.

The following information is displayed on the chart. 

Field Description
Total Data The total data that is generated across all the user devices and configured SaaS Apps - Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Google Workspace Apps.
Bandwidth Savings The percentage of bandwidth saved based on the data transferred.
Data Transferred The actual data transferred over your network to inSync Cloud.

Backup Data Distribution

This section provides information on the inSync storage utilized by your organization. The data distribution information is further classified by the following categories, which help you analyze the utilization:

File types

The Backup Data Distribution by File Types enables you to view the storage consumption by the file types backed up in inSync.

The following table lists the fields in the chart.

Field Description
File Type The list of different file types backed up.
Percentage Percentage of the total data consumed by each file type backed up.

Profiles

The Backup Data Distribution by Profiles chart enables you to view the storage consumption by profiles.

The following table lists the fields in the chart.

Field Description
Profile Name Name of the inSync profile.
Percentage Percentage of the total data stored by users associated with the profile.

Daily Backup Trend

Analyze the data backup and restore trends across all the workloads over a period of 30 days.

The chart displays the distribution of activities in 24 hours based on backup and restore activities that occurred over the past 30 days. It helps you understand the activities during a particular hour in a day.

Note: The data is displayed as per the time zone of the administrator.

Restore Summary

The Restore Summary chart displays information about restore activities for your user workloads.

Field Description
Successful Restores The number of successful restore activities across all user workloads.
Failed Restores The number of failed restore activities across all user workloads.
Data Restored The size of restored data across all user workloads.
Restore Types The number of restore activities as per restore type, which can be Self Restore, Admin Restore, Web Restore, or Mobile Restore.

License

View the active and preserve license statistics through the License card. For more information about the license, see active and preserve license consumption rationale. The license statistics will be refreshed every 7-10 minutes.

Considerations: 

  • As a Cloud Administrator, you can view the count of both active and preserve licenses allocated and consumed for all configured workloads and profiles. 

  • As a non-cloud administrator:

    • If you have Manage User permission, you can view the count of both active and preserve license consumed for the workloads and profiles assigned to you.

    • If you do not have Manage User permission, you can view the count of only the active license consumed for the workloads and profiles assigned to you.

The following table lists the License card fields.

Action Description
Active

Displays the total number of Google Workspace active licenses allocated as well as consumed by the user.

For example, 3/100 Active indicates that out of a total of 100 Google Workspace active licenses allocated, 3 are consumed by the user currently.

Click 3 to drill down to the Users details page where you can view details of users who have consumed active Google Workspace licenses.

Note: Only the Cloud Administrator can view the allocated active license count.

Preserved

Displays the total number of Google Workspace preserve licenses allocated as well as consumed by the user.

For example, 1/10 Preserved indicates that out of a total of 10 Google Workspace preserve licenses allocated, 1 is consumed by the user currently.

Click 1 to drill down to the Users details page where you can view details of the user who has consumed preserved Google Workspace license.

Note: Only the Cloud Administrator can view the allocated preserved license count.

Actions ​​​​​

You can perform the following actions on the Overview page.

Action Description
Re-Configure Click Re-Configure to reconfigure the Google Workspace app.
Settings Click Settings to update the user account access settings. For more information, see Configure user account access settings.
Verify  Click Verify to verify the Google Workspace configuration.
