View and export discovered VMs

You can view the results of the discovered virtual machines and export them to a CSV file.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Management Console. 
  2. Select your organization if organizations are enabled. 
  3. Click Protect > VMware. 
  4. The All vCenters/ESXi Hosts page appears that lists all the registered vCenters/Hypervisors.
  5. You can either select the registered vCenter/ESXi host from the card view or list view or select it from the vCenter/ESXi host list in the left navigation pane.
  6. The Virtual Machines page is displayed.

    Field Description
    Virtual Machine The name of the virtual machine for which Druva initiates the job.
    Hypervisor The name of vCenter/ESXi on which the virtual machine resides. You can filter the virtual machines based on these values.
    Configuration Status The status of the virtual machine if it is configured for backup. The values are Configured and Not Configured. You can filter the virtual machines based on these values.
    Size The size of the virtual machine.
    Discovered Apps Indicates that a SQL instance is running on the VM.
    Guest OS Credentials Indicates the status of Guest VM credentials. You can filter (multi-select) virtual machines based on the status of this column.

    VMware Tools Indicates the status of VMware Tools on the Guest VM. You can filter (multi-select) virtual machines based on the status of this column.
    For more information, see VMware Tools statuses.
  7. Click CSV to export the discovered VMs. Select the columns to be exported and click Download to export the data to CSV.

Guest OS Credentials statuses

Status Description
Not assigned.png This icon is displayed when the credentials for the Guest OS are not assigned.
valid cred.png This icon is displayed when the associated VM credentials are valid.
insufficient permissions.png This icon is displayed when the vCenter/ESXi host user credentials have insufficient permissions for Unusual Data Activity (UDA).
Invalid credentials.png This icon is displayed when the credentials provided for the virtual machines on the selected vCenter/ESXi host are incorrect.
cred pending for verification.png This icon is displayed when the updated credentials are pending for verification.

VMware Tools statuses

Status Description
Not installed.png This icon is displayed when VMware Tools is not installed on the VM.
Running.png This icon is displayed when VMware Tools is running on the VM.
Not Running.png This icon is displayed when VMware Tools is not running on the VM.
success-outline.png This icon is displayed when an older version of VMware Tools is running on the VM.
queued-grey-outline.png This icon is displayed when VMware Tools status is not yet identified.
