How is Amazon EBS snapshot billed when it is backed up by CloudRanger

Heads up!

We've transitioned to a new documentation portal to serve you better. Access the latest content by clicking here.

How is a user charged when a series of snapshots of Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) are taken through Druva CloudRanger.

Amazon EBS snapshots are stored incrementally. Hence, only the blocks that have changed after the last snapshot are saved and the user is billed only for the changed blocks.

For example, in a volume storing 100 GB data,  only 5 GB gets incremented in the last snapshot, the subsequent snapshot backs up only 5 GB of additional data. The user also gets billed only for the additional 5 GB.
