 Overview

This topic provides instructions for accessing the NAS device details page and describes the details displayed on the page.

The NAS device details page is essentially the NAS share page, which displays the shares configured inside a NAS device.  

Access Path

  1. On the menu bar, click All Organizations, and select the organization containing NAS device from the drop-down list.
  2. On the menu bar, click NAS
  3. Click the NAS device name to view its details page.
    The NAS device details appear on Shares and NAS Proxy tabs. 
    The following tables describe the fields displayed on the tabs.

Field Description

The following tables describe the fields on the Shares and NAS Proxy tabs. 

Fields on Shares tab

Shares tab lists the NAS shares configured on Phoenix and overview of their backup status. The following tables describe the fields displayed on the tabs.

Field Description
Add New Share Click to add a new NAS share. See Add a NAS share form more information. 
Share Name Display name assigned to the NAS share, during its configuration. You can click the share name to open the share details page. One share Name may have multiple rows depending on the backup sets configured for the share.
Administrative Group Name of the administrative group under assigned to the NAS share.  See Manage administrative groups for NAS shares for more details.

Backup Configured

Indicates whether the NAS share is configured with backup sets and NAS proxy to back up the NAS share. The configuration status appears as follows:

  • YesCheckMark.png - Backup configuration complete
  • CrossMark.png - Backup not configured
Backup Content Provides a brief view of the files and folders configured for backup in each backup set. You can mouse over the entries to view the tooltip for the entry.
Backup Policy Name of the backup policy assigned to the backup set configured for the NAS share.
Storage The storage name where the data from NAS share is backed up.  

Backup Enabled

Status of backup setting specific to backup sets. The status appears as:

  • YesCheckMark.png - Enabled
  • CrossMark.png - Disabled

Last Backup Status

Last backup status,  time elapsed since the last backup, and job ID of the last backup. You can click the job ID to view the backup job details. The backup status appears as:

  • SuccessfulBackup.png - Successful backup
  • SuccessWithErrors.png - Backup succeeded with errors
  • BackupFailed.png - Backup failed
  • NeverbackedUp.png - Never backed up
  • BackupWindowExpired.png - Backup window expired
NAS Proxy Name of NAS proxy assigned to the backup set configured to the backup set.
Search Provision to search the NAS share list with the search term entered in this box.

Filters

Criteria to filter the NAS share list based on Backup Configured status and Last Backup Status.

The Last Backup Status option filters the NAS share list based on the following criteria:

  • SuccessfulBackup.png - Successful backup
  • SuccessWithErrors.png - Backup succeeded with errors
  • BackupFailed.png - Backup failed
  • NeverbackedUp.png - Never backed up
  • BackupWindowExpired.png - Backup window expired
Clear Clears all the filters and restores the original display of NAS shares.
Create a Backup Set Click to configure a new backup set for a specific NAS share. See Manage backup sets for NAS shares for more information.  
Backup Now Click to perform an immediate manual backup. See Backup a NAS share manually for more information.
Restore Click to restore NAS share data. You can perform a restore on the original share or an alternate NAS share.  See Restore a NAS share for more information. 
Delete Click to remove a NAS share from the NAS device. You can remove a NAS share provided you have deleted all the backup sets configured for the share. See Delete a NAS share for more information. 

Fields on NAS proxies tab

The NAS proxies tab on the NAS device details page displays the NAS proxies assigned to the NAS device. 

Field Description
Add More Proxy Click to add a NAS proxy to the NAS device. See Add and activate a NAS proxy for more information. 
NAS Proxies Display name assigned to the NAS proxy, during its configuration.

Client Version

Version of the NAS proxy.  The upgrade status of the NAS proxy is indicated as:

  • SuccessfulBackup.png- Latest version
  • Upgradable.png - Upgradable
  • NotUpgradable.png - Not upgradable
  • UpgradeScheduled.png - Upgrade scheduled

# Mapped Backup Sets

Backup sets to which the NAS proxy is mapped.

Connected to Phoenix

Connectivity status of the NAS proxy with Phoenix Server,  indicated with SuccessfulBackup.png and BackupFailed.png marks.

Connected to NAS Connectivity status of the NAS proxy with NAS device indicated with SuccessfulBackup.png and BackupFailed.png marks.
Remove Click to remove the selected NAS proxy. See Manage NAS proxies for NAS devices for more information.
