Phoenix Editions: File:/tick.png Business File:/cross.png Enterprise File:/tick.png Elite

This topic provides instructions for viewing the configured storage and space details for the storage.

To view configured storage

  1. Log on to Phoenix Management Console.
  2. On the menu bar, click All Organizations, and select the required organization from the drop-down list.
  3. On the menu bar, click Storage.
The Storage page opens. The Storage page lists the storage and site usage details under the following two tabs:

Summary

The Summary tab provides the Phoenix storage information. The Storage Credit and Backup Data sections provide information about storage credits and the corresponding backed up data through various graphs.  The Storage List section lists various storage configured with Phoenix.

The following screenshot depicts the Summary tab.

The Summary tab provides the following fields:

Field  Description
Active Storage Regions The AWS regions where your storage is created and backup data reside.
Phoenix Storage The amount of storage consumed post deduplication.
Credit Balance The amount of unutilized credits at the end of a particular day.  The credit balance at the end of a particular day is the the difference between the ending balance of the previous day and the credits consumed in that day.
Overage The excess amount of credits (storage) utilized after consumption of all purchased credits.
Current Source The size of the data on the source server(s) at the time of the last backup.
Source+Change The amount of backup data generated at source. This includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.

Global Deduplication Savings

The ratio of traditional backup storage usage to Phoenix storage.

Note: This ratio indicates the storage efficiency achieved by Phoenix storage compared to a traditional D2D2T setup comprising daily incremental, weekly full, monthly full, and yearly full backups based on your specified G-F-S retention policies.

Source Reduction Factor The ratio of Source+Change to Phoenix storage.

Note:  For AWS Marketplace customers, the Credit Balance and Overage fields are not displayed.

Storage Credit

The Storage Credit section provides information about the available storage credit balance and the average storage usage for the past one year.

Note: For AWS Marketplace customers, the Storage Credit section will not be displayed.

The following table describes the fields displayed in the Storage Credit section.

Field Description

Storage Credits Balance

The amount of unutilized credits at the end of a particular day.

The storage credit balance at the end of a particular day is the difference between the ending balance of the previous day and the credits consumed in that day.

Avg. Storage Usage

<current month>

The average storage usage of the current month.

The following table describes the graphs displayed in the Storage Credit section. These graphs are updated daily at 12:15 AM UTC, respectively.

Graph Description

Credit Balance

Displays the latest available data of credit balance per day for the past one year for the customer. The 3/4th of the graph contains a line that depicts the credit usage for past 9 months and and the remaining 1/4th of the graph projects the future usage of the credits for the next 3 months. A green line denotes the credit balance and a red line denotes an overage.

The following screenshot depicts the Credit Balance graph:

Average Phoenix Storage Usage

Displays the latest available data of storage usage per month for the past one year.

The following screenshot depicts the Average Phoenix Storage Usage graph:

Backup Data

The Backup Data section provides the Last 90 days graph that depicts statistics of the backup data for the past 90 days. The statistics include data generated at source,  amount of storage consumed post deduplication, and the ratio of Source+Change to Phoenix storage.

The following table describes the fields and the graphs displayed in the Backup Data section.

Field Description
Source + Changes The amount of backup data generated at source. This includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups. It is represented by a blue line in the graph.
Phoenix Storage The cloud storage consumed post deduplication. It is represented by a green line in the graph.
Source Reduction Factor The ratio of Source+Changes to Phoenix Storage.

Storage List

The Storage Lists section lists storage instances and the corresponding storage details, such as storage name, Phoenix storage, and global deduplication savings.

You can click a specific storage instance to view its details on the Storage Details page. The Storage Details page provides the following information:

Field Description

Storage Comparison

Displays graph with the following details:

  • Source (First Snapshot): Size of the first existing snapshot on the source server.
  • Source+Changes: The amount of backup data generated at source. This includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.
  • Global Deduplication: The cloud storage consumed post deduplication.
  • Periodic Fulls: The data usage through traditional backup.
  • Global Deduplication Savings: Ratio of traditional backup storage usage to Phoenix storage.

Backup Data

Displays the graph with the following details:

  • Source+Change (a):The amount of backup data generated at source. This includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.
  • Phoenix Storage (b): Cloud storage consumed post deduplication.
  • Current Source: Size of data on source server as of last Backup.
  • Source Reduction Factor (a/b): Ratio of Source+Changes to Phoenix Storage.

Organization Usage

The Organization Usage tab provides the Phoenix storage details for each organization.

The following table provides the details:

Field Description
Organization Name The organizations that use the storage instance.
Current Source The size of the data on the source server(s) at the time of the last backup.
Source + Changes The amount of backup data generated at source. This includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.
