Error description: The SAP HANA agent failed to open the named pipe for read operation during the backup operation.

Error solution: 

• Check the inbound and outbound rules of the ports.

Error description: The SAP HANA agent failed to read the data from STREAM PIPE.

Error solution: 

• Check the permissions.
• If backint is not timed-out, increase the timeout and retry the job.

Error description: The SAP HANA agent failed to write the data to the destination file.

Error solution: 

• Check permissions in the destination path.
• Try to access the path with <sidadm> account.
• Correct the permissions and try again.

Error description: The SAP HANA agent failed to close the file on VFSServer.

Error solution: Contact Support.

Error message: Error in vfs client.

Error description:  The SAP HANA agent encountered an error while communicating with the VFS client.

Corrupted backups are one scenario that can cause this error.

Error solution: 

If you see differential or log backups failing because of corruption, take a full backup. 

You must pause all the log backups until this full backup is complete.

The subsequent differential backups and log backups will be successful.

Error message: Error in sending hearbeat to sap-hana plugin.

Error description: The Backint executable failed to send a heartbeat to the SAP HANA agent. The executable will retry in 30 seconds.

Error solution: Backint will retry every 30 seconds. If the job fails due to this error, check the network settings.
