Progress logs and detailed logs

Administrators can monitor the progress of the backup, restore, and delete jobs using the progress logs and detailed logs.

These logs are located at the following location:

/var/log/<brandname>/<productname>/<jobtype>/<backupsetID>/<jobID>

The Logs tab summarizes the progress of the backup, restore, and delete jobs.

If you need more information, you can look at the Detailed logs.

You can also download detailed logs if you need those.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Management Console.

  2. Click Protect > SAP HANA. If the All Organizations menu is enabled, select an organization and click Protect > SAP HANA.

  3. From the left navigation, click Jobs.

  4. Click the job ID. The Details page opens.

  5. Click Logs to view the logs.

  6. Click the Request Detail Logs button. The detailed logs will be available after a few moments. You should then see the Download Detail Logs button. 

  7. Click the Download Detail Logs button to download a zip file that contains many log files.
