Configure backup settings in SAP HANA Cockpit

Perform the steps in this document after assigning credentials. Before that, Destination Type will not show Backint as an option.

Automatically Delete Backup Generations

Yes, if you want to delete older backups. See additional options in the next row.

Note: You must set these options for each database separately.

 

Additional Options

After their retention period has expired, older backups can be deleted.

If you want these backups deleted from Cloud, select the following options: Also delete physically and From Backint

  1. Log in to SAP HANA Cockpit and navigate to the Database Management page. 

  2. Click the More button on the top-right corner and select Backup Configuration.

  3. Ensure that you are on the Backint Settings tab. If you do not see Backint Settings, ensure that you have installed and activated Hybrid Workloads agent and assign credentials on the Management Console. For details, see Install agent for SAP HANA.

  4. In the Backint Settings, you will see many sections, such as Backint Parameters Files, Backint Response Timeout, etc. To edit settings for any section, click Edit for that section, enter the values, and then click Save.
