Considerations

  • inSync Client v7.5 will backup only incremental changes from the system32 folder. In case of an upgrade, you need to contact Druva support for a full scan if the System 32 folder configured. By default, the Windows folder is excluded from backup. In case the Windows folder is not excluded and the customer wants to backup the System32 folder, he can do that in a fresh 64-bit client installation.

  • If you want to backup the contents in the system32 folder, you can contact support and a full scan will be set for those devices on request.

  • To backup Outlook data, the Outlook installed should only be able to backup MAPI data if 64-bit Outlook is installed.

Note: In case Outlook installed is 32bit and the customer upgraded inSync Client to 64bit client. It will be treated as misconfigured.

  • inSync Client v7.5 can only backup Outlook data if 64-bit Outlook is installed.

  • In case of an auto-upgrade, the auto-upgrade is supported from v6.5.
