Hardware prerequisites

The following table lists the hardware prerequisites to install inSync Master.

Hardware	Minimum requirements
CPU	64-bit, quad core processor
RAM	8 GB RAM for up to 1 TB of storage. If you have storage above 1 TB, we recommend that you add 1 GB RAM per additional TB of storage.
Disk space required for logs	1,000 Users	5,000 Users	10,000 Users	25,000 Users	50,000 Users	100,000 Users
Disk space required for logs	175 GB	275 GB	400 GB	600 GB	900 GB	1500 GB

Software prerequisites

The following table lists the software prerequisites to install inSync Storage Node.

Other prerequisites

The following table lists the other requirements to install inSync inSync Storage Node.

Requirement	Description
Open port numbers	This port is used to communicate with the inSync Master. By default, inSync Master uses the following ports: Port 443: This is the Web UI port. It is required for accessing the inSync Master Management Console and inSync Web. Port 6061: This is the backup port. It is required for backups. Note: Existing inSync deployments that use port 6061 will continue to work. You do not need to update your port configuration to port 443. If you want to use port 443 for your existing inSync deployments, contact Druva Support. If you choose to configure ports other than the default ports, ensure that those ports remain free.
IP address or FQDN	The WAN IP address or FQDN for backing up data over WAN. You can configure the IP address by using the inSync Master Management Console.

Note:

Existing inSync deployments that use port 6061 will continue to work. You do not need to update your port configuration to port 443. If you want to use port 443 for your existing inSync deployments, contact Druva Support.

If you choose to configure ports other than the default ports, ensure that those ports remain free.

IP address or FQDN

The WAN IP address or FQDN for backing up data over WAN. You can configure the IP address by using the inSync Master Management Console.
