Monitor Archival Activities from inSync Console

View Backup Definitions 

As an inSync Cloud administrator, you can view the following information from the inSync Management Console.

  • Archival Set List 
  • Archival Statistics
  • Archival Status
  • Reporting information

Archival Set List

Perform the following steps to view the list of archival sets created from the Salesforce App.

  1. On the inSync Management Console, click the hamburger icon  Left_Navigation_Bar_Hamburger_Icon.png to access the global navigation panel.
  2. Click SaaS Apps.
  3. Click Salesforce.
  4. Click Archival Sets. A list of backup definitions appears on the Archival Sets pane.

Archival Statistics

As an inSync Cloud administrator, you can get an overview of the archival statistics from the inSync Management Console.

Procedure

  1. On the inSync Management Console, click Left_Navigation_Bar_Hamburger_Icon.png icon to access the global navigation panel.
  2. Click SaaS Apps.
  3. Click Salesforce.
  4. Click Archival Sets. A list of backup definitions appears on the Archival Sets pane.
  5. Click on an archival set listing.

The following information is available on the Summary page.

 

Section Description
Last Archival Summary

Provides the following details for a recently completed backup:

  • Last Completed Archival Time
  • Last Archival Status
  • Last Archival Data
  • Total Archival Data
Archival Set Summary

Provides the following details for a backup definition:

  • Organization ID
  • Organization Name
  • Storage
  • Last Modified By
  • Last Modified On
  • Archival Start Time
  • Archival Frequency
  • Archival Data Retention Period
Salesforce Storage Summary

This chart displays storage savings in percentage, estimated annual cost savings in dollars, Salesforce storage used, and the size of the archived data.

Archival Content This section shows the name of the objects archived, along with the corresponding number of records.

Backup and Download Status

As an inSync Cloud administrator, you can view the backup status for all backup activities performed from the Salesforce App.

  1. On the inSync Management Console, click the hamburger icon  Left_Navigation_Bar_Hamburger_Icon.png to access the global navigation panel.
  2. Click SaaS Apps.
  3. Click Salesforce.
  4. Click Archival Sets. A list of backup definitions appears on the Archival Sets pane.
  5. Click on Activity Stream.

The following information is available on the Activity Stream page.

 

Field Description
Activity Type

Specifies the type of activity.

Description Specifies the description for the user activity.
Created On Specifies the activity creation date.
Completed On Specifies the activity completion date.
Status

Specifies the status of the activity.

Reporting Information

As an inSync Cloud administrator, you can view backup task details in a report format. For more information about the generated report, see Salesforce Archival Report.
