Users page

License editions: To understand the applicable license editions, see Plans & Pricing.

Overview

The Users page displays the list of users created in inSync Management Console.

Users page provides settings to configure and manage user provisioning. As an administrator, you can add, update, and manage users and their profiles. Based on the user provisioning method that you have opted for, you can create new mappings, update existing mappings, and manage settings for AD/LDAP, SCIM, and Azure AD-based user provisioning methods. You can also view the license statistics from this page.

Access Path

On the inSync Management Console menu bar, click Users.

The cards on the Users page enable you to view the total number of users and workload-based license statistics. The license statistics will be refreshed every 7-10 minutes. For more information about how the active license is consumed, see active license consumption rationale.

Considerations

  • As a Cloud Administrator, you can view the license statistics for all configured workloads and profiles.

  • As a non-cloud administrator, you can view the license statistics for only those workloads and profiles which are assigned to you.

    • If you have Manage User permission, you can view both active and preserve license statistics for the workloads and profiles assigned to you.

    • If you do not have Manage User permission, you can view only active license statistics for the workloads and profiles assigned to you.

The following table lists the fields on the cards of the Users page.

Filter

Considerations:

  • As a Cloud Administrator, you can view all Workload license filters for all configured workloads.

  • As a non-cloud administrator, you can view license filters for only those workloads which are assigned to you.

Apply Filters:

  • Use the filter to narrow down the search and listing of users in inSync by typing their user name, email address, and custom attribute in the Search box.

  • Click the Active or Preserve license count for the respective workload, users consuming active or preserve license count will be displayed. For example, as shown in the above image, if you click 3 Active from Endpoints, all 3 users who have consumed Endpoints active license are displayed in the list view.

  • Applying filters - To apply filters, click the Filters icon.jpg icon, select the filters you would like to apply, and click Apply. To cancel the filters applied, click Reset. You can filter based on the following criteria:

    • Profile

    • Storage

    • Workload License (Endpoints License, Microsoft 365 License, and Google Workspace License): Active, Preserved, or Not Licensed. You can also filter using multiple license states, for example, Active and Preserved.

    • Legal Hold: Enabled or Disabled

    • User Status: Active or Preserved
