Overview
This page contains details of various settings required to set up inSync.
Access Path
On the inSync Management Console, click > inSync Settings.
Email Message Customization
The following table lists the fields in the Email Message Customization area.
Field | Description |

Reply to |
The reply-to email address of the inSync server. By default, this field contains the email ID of the first inSync Cloud administrator. |
Sender name | The sender name for emails sent by the server. |
Signature | The signature that appears on emails sent by the server. |
Network
The following table lists the fields in the Network Settings area.

Restricted networks for backup/sync | The data networks restricted during the backups and sync. |
The following table lists the fields in the Geofencing area. If you have enabled the Geofencing policy, you will see the below information,

Connectors
The following table lists the fields in the Connectors area.

Download and install Connector | Download link to the latest inSync Connector installer. |
Connector Name | The display name of the inSync Connector. |
Connection Status | The status of the connection with the inSync Connector. |
Actions
The following table lists the actions that you can perform in the Connectors tab.
Action | Description |

Add Connector | Add a new inSync Connector in your environment. For more information, see Install or upgrade AD Connector. |
Delete Connector | Delete an existing inSync Connector in your environment. For more information, see Delete AD Connector. |
Get Registration Key |
Generate a new registration key to register inSync Connector in your environment. Do not regenerate the registration key after the inSync Connector is registered. If you regenerate the key, the existing registration key is deactivated. |
Deployment
The following table lists the fields in the Deployment area.

Indicates that inSync Client will be activated on the first device only. |
Prompt user if device mapping not defined | Indicates the user will be prompted if device mapping is not defined. |

Mobile Credentials
The following table lists the fields in the iOS Device Management area.

APN certificate | Indicates that an APN certificate is loaded. |
APN details | The details of the APN certificate. |

Password Policy
Password Policy Settings for Users
Note: You can configure Password Policy only for users from the inSync Management Console. Password Policy for administrators can be configured only from the Druva Cloud Platform Console.
The following table lists the fields in the Password Policy Setting for Users area.

Password Policy |
The status of the Password Policy for the users. |
Strong Password |
If you want to enforce a strong Password Policy, select this checkbox. A strong password consists of at least:
A strong password is hard to guess for people with malicious intent and secures the login experience. |
Cannot reset password to last |
Type the number of previous passwords that the users cannot use. For example, if you enter 3, then users cannot set their new password to the current password and the previous two passwords. |
Max. invalid login attempts |
Type the maximum number of login attempts. The user's account is locked after the number of invalid login attempts exceeds the number you specify here. |
Password expire after every | Type the number of days after which the users must reset the password. Enter a value between 0 and 99 days. |
Co-branding
The following table lists the fields in the Co-branding area.

Data Governance
The following table lists the fields in the Audit Trail Retention Policy area.

Note: User audit trail for File & Folder (additional) activities will be retained for 3 months only.
inSync APIs
The following table lists the fields in the Access Token for inSync APIs area.
Field | Description |

Generated on | Displays the date on which the token was generated. |
Expires on | Displays the date on which token will expire. Token automatically expires after one month. |
Generated by | Displays the email address of the administrator who created the token. |
Events API Settings
Events API provides a consolidated view of all events that transpire in inSync such as logins, backups, restores, users, and devices. You can also integrate the events API with security information and event management (SIEM) tools for monitoring inSync events. To leverage events API, you need to enable events from the Events API Settings UI.
Note: The option to enable events from the Events API Settings is provided to all inSync cloud administrators with Enterprise and Elite license editions.
On the Events API Settings UI, exported events will be disabled by default. To enable them:
- Click Edit, the Edit Events API Settings window will be displayed. Select the Export Events option.
- Categories to export – Configure the inSync events to be exported. By default, All Events is selected. To export specific event(s), double-click All Events and select the required event(s).
- Syslog facility - Syslogs are required to integrate inSync events with third-party security information and event management (SIEM) tools like Splunk to monitor inSync events. The default number provided is 23, you can provide any number between 1 and 23.
- Click Save.
- Now you have configured inSync events and enabled the export of inSync events.
Key Management
The following table lists the field in the Key Management area.
Note: The Key Management tab will be will visible on the Settings page only if the Cloud Key Management System is activated for your account.
