AD/LDAP, SCIM, and Azure AD Mapping Details page

Overview

This page contains filter parameters defined to extract user details from AD/LDAP, SCIM, and Azure AD Mappings.

Access Path

  1. On the inSync Management Console, click Users > Deployment.
  2. Based on the user provisioning method that you have selected, the AD/LDAP, SCIM, or Azure AD Mappings page appears.
  3. Click on desired Mapping Name for which you want to view the details.

Mapping Configuration

The following table lists the fields in the AD/LDAP Configuration area.

Field Description
For AD/LDAP Mapping  
Name Name of the Mapping.
AD/LDAP Server The server on which the AD/LDAP resides.
Base DN Base distinguished name of AD/LDAP.
Organizational unit Organizational unit in AD/LDAP from which user details are imported.
AD group AD/LDAP group from which user details are imported.
Department Department from which user details are imported.
Country Country from which user details are imported.
Name to be used for creation Name type used for creating users on your inSync setup.
For SCIM and Azure AD Mapping  
Name Name of the Mapping.
Filter Users by Details of the SCIM or Azure AD attribute

inSync Configuration

The following table lists the fields in the inSync Configuration area.

Field Description
Profile Profile that you assign to users while importing them from mapping.
Storage Storage region that you assign to users while importing them from mapping.
Default Quota The storage assigned to the users
Auto import new users

If enabled, inSync automatically import users from AD/LDAP at regular intervals.

If disabled, you manually import users from AD/LDAP.

Note: Do not use this method, if you are creating an AD/LDAP mapping for integrated mass deployment.
Send activation email to newly added users If enabled, inSync automatically sends activation email, containing user credentials for the same, to newly added users.

Actions

The following table lists the actions on the AD/LDAP Mapping Details page.

Action Description
Delete Mapping You can delete the Mapping using the Delete Mapping button. For more information, see Delete an AD/LDAP mapping.
Import New Users You can manually import new users, if you do not want to wait inSync auto-import process to import users from the mapping, using the Import New Users button. For more information, see Manually import users from your AD/LDAP.
