Avoid timestamp mismatch for backup job and snapshot

Overview

Phoenix defines jobs for all the scheduled and maintenance activities performed on the Phoenix Management Console.

Phoenix associates each job with Start Time and End Time. The End Time is assigned to a respective backup job snapshot as a timestamp.

Problem

The backup job timestamp on the Jobs page and the respective snapshot timestamp does not match.
For example, in the following screens, the End Time of the job is supposed to be assigned to a respective snapshot as a timestamp, however, it is not happening.

Snapshot

Cause

The Jobs page displays the timestamp based on the time zone selected by an Administrator logged in to the Phoenix Console.
The snapshot timestamp is as per the source server local time zone settings.
In the following screens, the console time zone is set as UTC (default), and the source server local time is set as Pacific Time. Therefore, there is a discrepancy in the timestamp.

Best Practice

Set the Phoenix console time zone as per the source server local time zone to avoid timestamp discrepancy. After changing the console time zone to Pacific time, the Job's End Time and Snapshot timestamp match.
