This topic lists the Nutanix AHV specific errors that you may encounter during Nutanix configuration.
Error Message: Data Services IP is not configured for the Prism <Prism IP address>.
Error Description: The data services IP address is required to give Druva access to the Nutanix cluster storage. This error occurs when no iSCSI data services IP address is assigned to the Prism whose IP is mentioned in the error message.
Error Solution: To resolve this error, assign an iSCSI data services IP to your Prism. For more information, see Configure Data Services IP.
Error Message: Failed to find the recovery point for the disk.
Error Description: You may run into this if the recovery point creation for some disks is failed.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to get cluster(s).
Error Description: You may run into this error when the cluster with the specified UUID does not exist.
Error Solution: If this was a restore job failure, restore the VM to another cluster. If the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to get storage container.
Error Description: You may run into this error when the storage container with the specified UUID does not exist.
Error Solution: If this was a restore job failure, restore the VM to another storage container. If the error persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Task Failed.
Error Description: You may run into this error when tasks like virtual machine creation, volume group creation, and so on fail due to insufficient resources (For example, disk space) or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to get task.
Error Description: You may run into this error when a task with the specified UUID does not exist. It can happen because of a drop in the network connection or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to create volume group.
Error Description: You may run into this error when the volume group creation fails due to insufficient privileges or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Retry the job. If this was a restore job failure, restore the VM to a different storage container. If the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to create virtual machine.
Error Description: You may run into this error when the virtual machine creation fails due to insufficient resources (For example, disk space) or admin privileges or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Ensure that admin privileges are assigned, determine the resources are adequate, and then rerun the restore. If the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to update virtual machine.
Error Description: You may run into this error during the original restore when the virtual machine updation fails if the account used, lacks administrator privileges or has an internal API error.
Error Solution: Ensure that the account has admin privileges and then retry the restore. If the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to list virtual machines.
Error Description: You may run into this error when the Virtual Machine List API fails to fetch the list of virtual machines. It can happen because of a drop in the network connection or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to get virtual machine.
Error Description: You may run into this error when the virtual machine with the specified UUID does not exist.
Error Solution: Since the virtual machine is deleted from the prism, subsequent backups of this virtual machine are disabled. Refresh the virtual machine list from the All Virtual Machine page and configure another virtual machine for backup. If the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to change power state of virtual machine.
Error Description: You may run into this error when the virtual machine with the specified UUID does not exist, or its power state can not be changed, or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to attach disks to virtual machine.
Error Description: You may run into this error when Druva cannot attach the disks to the virtual machine. This can happen due to incorrect disk space or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to detach disks from virtual machine.
Error Description: You may run into this error during the original restore when Druva cannot detach the disks from the virtual machine. This can happen due to incorrect disk space or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to get list of changed regions.
Error Description: The current(recovery point_file) recovery point of the VM is compared with an earlier recovery point(reference_recovery point_file) to perform an incremental backup. This error may occur if the file or files specified by the recovery point_file_path or the reference_recovery point_file_path does not exist. It may also be due to some internal API error.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to create Idempotent ID.
Error Description: An idempotence_identifier is an idempotent UUID based on a user-provided identifier and other inputs. Druva uses these UUIDs to identify recovery points created by it uniquely. You may run into this error when the create API for Idempotent ID fails.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to create recovery point.
Error Description: Druva creates virtual machine recovery points during backup and restore. You may run into this error if the virtual machine recovery point cannot be taken for some reason.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to get recovery point.
Error Description: You may run into this error when a recovery point with the specified UUID does not exist. It can happen because of a drop in the network connection or an internal API error.
Error Solution: Retry the job and if the issue persists, contact Support.
Error Message: Failed to connect to Prism.
Error Description: This error may occur due to network connection problems to the Prism.
Error Solution: Contact Support.
Error Message: Nutanix AHV API service is unavailable.
Error Description: You may run into this error when Nutanix service is unavailable.
Error Solution: Perform the following:
Error Message: Backup proxy does not support FLR. Deploy a new proxy or contact Support.
