This topic provides instructions for managing the AWS resources available within your AWS accounts. You can configure your AWS resources for backup and initiate a backup job for the configured AWS resources using the Compute page.
- On the Phoenix Management Console menu bar, click Protect > AWS Workloads. The page with a list of existing added AWS accounts appears.
- From the Select Account dropdown, select the desired AWS account to view its details.
- Expand Resources and click Compute & Storage.
- In the Resource Name column, click a resource to view its details.
The following table lists the fields on the Resource Details tab:
|Name||The name of the resource|
|ID||Unique ID associated with the resource|
The type of the resource; for example, EC2.
|Instance Type||The type of the instance; for example, t2.medium.|
|Region||The region where the AWS resource resides.|
|Private IP||The private IP address of the resource.|
|Public IP||The public IP address of the resource.|
|Number of Snapshots||The number of snapshots associated with the resource.|
|Number of AMIs||The number of AMIs that are created for the resource.|
|Policy name||The name of the backup policy attached to the resource.|
|Backup Type||The type of backup job that was performed on the resource.|
|Backup Schedule||The frequency of the backups on the resource; for example, daily.|
|Retention||The duration of retention of the backup; for example, 1 hour.|
|Key||The list of keys for the tags; for example, name.|
|Value||The values associated with the keys; for example, Backup: True.|
|Volume Name||The name of the volume associated with the resource.|
|Device||The directory of the device associated with the volume.|
|Tags||The list of tags attached to the resource.|
The following table lists the fields on the Backups tab.
|Name/ID||The name of the AMI created for the EC2 instance.|
|Type||The backup type of the EC2 instance. For example, AMI.|
|Region||The region where the AMI is stored.|
|Size||The size of the AMI.|
|State||The state of the AMI. Such as available, or not available based on whether it can be used to restore the EC2 instance.|
|Created||The age of the AMI based on when it was created.|
The following table lists the actions on the Resource Details tab.
|Backup Now||Click the button to run a backup of the EC2 instance. Phoenix creates an AMI in the same location where the EC2 instance is running.|
|Add More||Click this button add another backup policy to the resource. You can only select the resource tied to the AWS account under which the EC2 instance is running.|
|Remove||Remove the backup policy attached to the EC2 instance.|
|Edit||Modify the tags assigned to the EC2 instance.|

|Restore||Select an AMI and click this button to restore an EC2 instance using the selected AMI.|
|Delete||Select an AMI and click this button to delete the selected AMI.|
