NAS devices page



Overview
This topic provides instructions for accessing the NAS devices page and describes the details displayed on the page. The NAS devices page displays the NAS devices configured in your organization. In a new Phoenix configuration, you need to first configure and activate a NAS proxy to be able to add a NAS device.
Access Path
- On the menu bar, click All Organizations, and select the organization containing NAS devices from the drop-down list.
- On the menu bar, click Protect > NAS.
The NAS page opens with a list of NAS devices displayed on the NAS Devices tab. The list of activated proxies is displayed on the NAS Proxies tab. The
fields displayed on the page are described in the tables below.
Field Description
The following tables list the fields on the NAS page.
Fields on NAS Devices tab
The NAS Devices tab appears once you have configured a NAS proxy. This tab displays an overview of the NAS device configuration and the latest backup status of its backup sets.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | Display name assigned to the NAS device, during its configuration. You can click the server name to open the server details page. |
IP/FQDN | Fully qualified domain name or hostname of the server. |
# Shares | Number of NAS shares present within the NAS device. |
Total Backup Data | Size of the data backed up for the NAS device. This is the total of all the data backed up from all its shares. |
Last Backup Status |
Number of backup sets on which the latest backup either succeeded, succeeded with errors, failed, or was never backed up. The status is indicated as follows:
The sum of the numbers displayed is the number of backup sets configured for the shares of the NAS device. You can click the number to view the respective NAS shares. |
# Mapped NAS proxies | Number of NAS proxies assigned to the NAS device. |
Add New NAS Device | Click to add a new NAS device. See Add a NAS device for more information. |
Update Credentials | Click to update NAS device credentials. See Manage your NAS device for more information. |
Delete | Click to delete a NAS device. See Manage your NAS device for more information. |
Fields on NAS proxies tab
The NAS proxies tab is active by default when you log on to Phoenix for the first time. Once you have added NAS proxies, the NAS Devices tab activates and becomes available to add the NAS devices.
Field | Description |
---|---|
NAS Proxies | Display name assigned to the NAS proxy, during its configuration. |
Platform | Version of Linux or Windows platform running the NAS proxy. |
Client Version |
Version of the NAS proxy. The upgrade status of the NAS proxy is indicated as:

Mapped NAS Devices |
NAS devices to which the NAS proxy is mapped. |
Connected to Phoenix |
Connectivity status of the NAS proxy with Phoenix Server, indicated with |
Add New NAS proxy | Click to add a new NAS proxy. For more information, see Add and activate a NAS proxy. |
Upgrade | Click to upgrade the version of the NAS proxy. For more information, see Upgrade NAS proxy on Windows and Linux from Phoenix Management Console. |
Delete | Click to remove the selected NAS proxy. For more information, see Manage NAS proxies for NAS devices. |
