View Server Group Details page

Overview

This topic provides detailed information about the server groups configured in your Phoenix environment.

Access Path

On the Phoenix Management Console menu bar, click Manage > Server Groups > Click the <desired server group>.

Server group details are divided into the following two tabs:

Summary tab

The Summary tab provides details on backup and restore activity, bandwidth usage, and configuration details of the selected server group.

Field Description

The Summary tab provides you information on the following aspects of the server groups.

Field Description
# Servers Total number of servers or virtual machines associated with this server group.
# Snapshots Total number of hot, warm, and cold snapshots of the virtual machine. The thawed snapshots are counted as warm snapshots.

Backup & Restore

Displays backup and restore jobs for the last seven days with the following three statuses:

  • Successful
  • Successful with errors (backup only)
  • Failed
Bandwidth Usage Displays the average bandwidth consumed over the last one week for the activities performed in Mbps.

Configuration

Following information is displayed:

  • Storage: The storage used by the server group.
  • CloudCache: The CloudCache associated with the server group.
  • VMware Backup Policy: The name of the backup policy associated with the server group.
  • Retention Policy: The name of the retention policy associated with the server group.

Backup Data

The Backup Data area illustrates the following data for the last 90 days:

  • Source + Changes: The amount of backup data generated at source. This includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.
  • Current Source: The size of the data on the source server(s) at the time of the last backup.

Actions 

The following table lists the actions on the Summary tab of the View Server Group Details page.

Action Description
Delete Server Group You can delete a server group using the Delete button. For more information, see Delete server group.
Edit Server Group Details You can edit details of a server group using the Edit button. For more information, see Update a server group.

Servers tab

The Servers tab lists the virtual machines part of this server group.

Field Description

The Servers tab provides information on the servers, part of this server group.

Field Description
Name Displays name of the server.
Platform Displays name and version of the operating system the server is running on.

Note:  The Client Version field is not displayed for VMware server groups.

Actions 

The following table lists the actions on the Servers tab of the View Server Group Details page.

Action Description
Backup Now You can trigger a manual backup for a virtual machine using Backup Now. For more information, see Manually backup a virtual machine.
Restore You can restore virtual machines by selecting them and clicking Restore. For more information, see Restore virtual machines.
