This topic provides instructions for viewing the configured storage. Additionally, it provides storage details for each Organization as well.

To view configured storage

  1. Log in to the Management Console.
  2. If Organization is enabled, click All Organizations on the menu bar.
  3. On the menu bar, click Storage.
    The Storage page is displayed.

The Storage page lists the storage details under the following sections:

Summary

This section provides cloud storage information. It includes overall information about storage consumption and deduplication savings.

The following table describes the fields displayed in the Summary section:

Field  Description

Total Storage Consumed

The amount of storage consumed post deduplication.

Warm vs Archive Storage

Pie chart that displays the amount of data in the Warm storage vs the data in the Archive storage.

Note: This pie chart is shown only for Archive enabled customers.

Total Dedupe Savings

The ratio of Source + Changes data to the data in cloud storage.

 Warm Storage

This section displays a graph of the Total Source + Changes vs Warm Storage Usage
You can filter the graph to show usage data from Last 90 days or Last 12 months.

Warm_Final.png

The following table describes the fields displayed in the Warm Storage section.

Field  Description

Storage Consumed

The cloud storage consumed post deduplication.

Dedupe Savings

The ratio of Source + Changes data to data in cloud storage.

Total Source + Changes

The amount of backup data generated at the source. The data includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups. A gray line upon hovering over the graph represents the Total Source + Changes.

Warm Tier Data

The amount of data that is accessed or modified frequently.

LTR Data

Displays the amount of Long Term Data.

Warm Storage Usage

An orange graph represents the amount of space used in the warm storage.

Note: Warm storage is used to hold the server data. Because the warm storage is fast in performance, restoring of the data in warm storage is "on-demand" in nature, and starts immediately.

Archive Storage

Note: Displayed only for Archive enabled customers.

This section displays a graph of the Source + Changes vs Archive Storage Usage
You can filter the graph for the storage consumption data in the  Last 90 days or Last 12 months.

Archive_Final.png

The following table describes the fields displayed in the Archive Storage section.

Field  Description

Storage Consumed

The cloud storage consumed post deduplication.

Dedupe Savings

The ratio of Source + Changes data to data in cloud storage.

Source + Changes

The amount of backup data generated at the source. The data includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups. A gray line upon hovering over the graph represents the Source + Changes.

Archive Storage Usage

A blue graph represents the amount of space used in the archive storage.

Note:  Archive storage is an ultra-low-cost storage tier provided to reduce the cost for storing large files that are rarely accessed or restored but required to be protected for future reference and compliance purposes.

Storages

This section displays the storage instances and the corresponding storage details, such as storage name, region, type, and Cloud storage.

Storage_Provision.png

You can click on a specific storage instance to view its details. The following image is one such example of a Warm storage type.

Warm_Storage_org.png

Note: A similar page is displayed for the Archive storage type as well.

This table provides the following information:

Field  Description

Source + Changes

The amount of backup data generated at the source. The data includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.

Current Source

The size of the data on the source server(s) at the time of the last backup.

Warm Storage Usage

An orange graph represents the amount of space used in the warm storage.

Note: Warm storage is used to hold the server data. Because the warm storage is fast in performance, restoring of the data in warm storage is "on-demand" in nature, and starts immediately.

Dedupe Savings

The ratio of Source + Changes data to data in cloud storage.

Storage Usage by Organizations

This section provides the Druva storage details for each Organization.

Note: The Storage Usage by Organization section is visible on the Storage page only if Organization is enabled. For more information, see Enable or Disable Organizations.

Storage_Org_1.png

Note: You can filter the Organization distribution pie chart by Warm Storage or Archive Storage.

The following table provides the details:

Field  Description

Organization Name

The Organizations that use the storage instance.

Cloud Storage

The amount of storage consumed post deduplication.

Source + Changes

The amount of backup data generated at the source. The data includes the initial full backup and incremental data from all subsequent backups.

Current Source

The size of the data on the source server(s) at the time of the last backup.

Exporting the Storage Data

You can export the storage page details in CSV format by clicking Export to CSV on the top right corner of the page. The exported file contains the summary, warm and archive storage, and storage details for each Organization.

The following image displays a sample of the exported contents in the CSV file.

Understand what storage details mean

Let's use the following example for understanding how Druva calculates the storage consumed for an account:

Example.png
Total Source + Changes data= 0.17 TB
Total Dedupe Savings= 8.18X
Total Storage Consumed= 21.6 GB
Warm Storage Consumed= 3.16 GB
Archive  Storage Consumed= 18.44 GB

The total storage consumed is a sum of the warm storage consumed and archive storage consumed. If Archive is disabled, then only the warm storage data is considered. Hence, in this example, the Total Storage Consumed = 3.16 GB (Warm Storage Consumed) + 18.44 (Archive  Storage Consumed) = 21.6 GB.
The storage savings is 0.17 TB divided by 21.6 GB, which turns out to be 8.18X. The Druva backup consumed 8.18 times less storage than the amount of data.
