View, edit, and delete a Service Plan

Overview

A Service Plan is an option that helps Managed Service Partners (MSP) to map Data Protection and Governance for their customers to the tailor-made service plans (all editions), and subscribe to them to avail and use this feature.

Druva provides a Default Service Plan which has some default configurations set to help Managed Service Partners (MSP) get started. We also provide a Sandbox customer that Managed Service Partners (MSP) can use for internal demos, training only. 

In the Managed Service Center (MSC) portal, you can create and manage service plans based on a specific edition. With service plans, you can:

  • Provision a customer by subscribing to a service offering/plan and track their usage.
  • Package service plans with soft limits for MVP in a service offering that is being subscribed to.

Here's how you can manage (view, filter, search, edit, and delete) the created service plans:

View the service plan details

You can review the details of the existing service plans using the Service Plans page.

Procedure 

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.

  2. On the top navigation bar of the MSC portal, click Service Plans. A list of all the created service plans is displayed.

  3. On the Service Plans page, click on the service plan name to view its details.

 The following table provides information about the service plans details that you can view.

Field Description
Details section
Edition

Displays the Druva product edition associated with the service plan. It can be either of the following:

  • Business: This edition has limited features.
  • Enterprise: This edition includes features from Business along with additional features.
  • Elite: This edition includes features from Business along with additional features.
Backup Frequency Limit

Displays the set limits for backup frequency. It can be either Daily or Weekly.

These limits help you monitor and optimize backups. Based on the Lower (min) and Upper (max) limits provided, you will receive alerts to your configured email addresses. if the backup frequency does not adhere to the set limits.

Note: Compliance Alerts are currently disabled and will be available in the upcoming release.

Retention Limit

Displays the set limits for retention.

These limits help you monitor and optimize backups. Based on the Lower (min) and Upper (max) limits provided, you will receive alerts to your configured email addresses. if the retention limit does not adhere to the set limits.

Note: Compliance Alerts are currently disabled and will be available in the upcoming release.

Customers section
Name Displays the Account Name details provided by the MSP while creating the customer.
Product Displays the product details included in the service plan. It can either be Hybrid Workloads or Microsoft 365.
Usage Displays the details about the storage consumption from the allocated Quota. If the storage consumption exceeds the defined quota, an alert is sent to the administrator's configured email address.
Quota Displays the details of the storage assigned in the service plan.

Edit the service plan details

Use the Edit option to update the required details of existing service plans.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.

  2. On the top navigation bar of the MSC portal, click Service Plans.

  3. On the Service Plans page, select a service plan and click Edit. In the Edit Service Plan dialog, make the required changes and click Save to apply the changes. To know more about the fields displayed on the Service Plans page, see View the service plan details section.

Search a service plan

Use the Search Plan Name search box to find and view specific service plan details.

Procedure 

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.

  2. On the top navigation bar of the MSC portal, click Service Plans.

  3. On the Service Plans page, enter the name of the service plan that you want to view and press Enter.

Filter the service plans list

Use the filter option to narrow down the list and view required service plans. You can filter the list of service plans by specifying the Products, Editions, and Workload parameters.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.

  2. On the top navigation bar of the MSC portal, click Service Plans.

  3. On the Service Plans page, click filter_icon.jpg icon, provide the required parameters and click Apply to apply the filters. If you wish to make any changes to your filter parameter selection, click Reset.

Delete a service plan

Use this feature to delete a service plan that you no longer need.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.

  2. On the top navigation bar of the MSC portal, click Service Plans.

  3. On the Service Plans page, select the service plan that you want to delete and click Delete.

Alternatively, you can also delete a service plan from the service plans details page.

Note: You cannot delete the service plan if it is already assigned to any customer.
