Overview

The MSP Reports provide comprehensive details  of the total backup sets, and storage and credit consumption itemized for the customer.

Note: The General Availability program currently displays only the Tenant Usage Report.

View the MSP Reports page

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.
  2. Click the MSP Reports tab.
    The MSP Reports page appears in the card layout, by default.
  3. The MSP Reports page provides the following report details:
    Field Description
    Name The name of the MSP report.
    Description The description of the MSP report.

    Email Schedule

    The details of the subscription when the report is generated and sent over an email to the subscribers. It also displays the number of subscribers of that report.

    • The Green_subscriber.PNGicon signifies that the logged-in user is subscribed to the report.
    • The Gray_subscriber.png icon signifies that the users other than the logged-in user are subscribed to the report.
    • +<number> signifies the count of the subscribers. 

    Example:

    Subscriber_example.PNG  signifies that the report has been subscribed by the logged-in user and five other subscribers, and the report is scheduled to be generated every day at 6 PM and emailed to the subscribers.

    Note: Click the List  List_view.PNG icon to view reports in the card layout.

Subscribe to a report

As an MSP Administrator, you can subscribe yourself and other administrators to the reports for tracking all activities. The reports are sent through emails to the subscribed recipients based on the defined schedules.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center MSC portal.
  2. Click the MSP Reports tab.
    The MSP Reports page appears.
  3. Click the report that you want to subscribe to.
  4. On the Report Details page, click Manage Subscriptions.
    The Manage Subscriptions page opens with the report name listed in the Summary section.
  5. In the Email Addresses box, enter the email addresses of the administrators that you want to configure for receiving reports. Press the Enter or Tab key to add multiple email addresses.
  6. In the Schedule section, click the toggle button to enable or disable the report subscription.
  7. Recurrence specifies how often to send the reports. Click the respective option to send the report daily, weekly, or monthly.
  8. The Repeat field is enabled if you click the Weekly and Monthly options in the Recurrence radio button. 
  9. In the Time Zone drop-down list, select the server time zone to generate the report.
  10. In the Time field, specify the time to trigger the report. Specify AM or PM appropriately.

    Note: The Time field follows the administrator’s time zone.

  11. Click Save.

The report will be sent through an email to the subscribed recipients based on the schedule.

Email a report

MSP administrators can configure the MSC portal to send a report to the intended recipient’s email addresses on demand.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Managed Services (MSC) portal.
  2. Click the MSP Reports tab.
    The MSP Reports page appears.
  3. Click the report that you want to send to the administrators
  4. On the Report Details page, click Email Report.
    The Email Report page opens with the report name listed in the Summary section.
  5. In the Recipients section,  enter the email addresses of the administrators to whom you want to send reports. Press the Enter or Tab key to add multiple email addresses.
  6. Select the Add me to the recipient’s list check box to add your email address to the list of recipient’s email addresses. 
  7. Click Send Email.

The report is generated and sent through an email to the intended recipients.

Tenant Usage Report

The Tenant Usage Report provides customer-specific granular insights into the service plan details offered to that customer along with the summary of total backup sets and credit consumption itemized for the customer.

View the report

On the MSP Reports page, you can click the Tenant Usage Report to view the total backup sets and credit consumption summary.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center (MSC) portal.
  2. Click the MSP Reports tab.
    The MSP Reports page appears with the Tenant Usage Report.
    1. Click the Tenant Usage Report.
      The Tenant Usage Report page provides the following details for a customer:
      Field Description
      Service Plan Summary
      Plan The service plan that is selected for the customer.
      Storage Region The region that the customer selected for storing the backup data.
      Effective Date The effective date from when the credit are allocated to the customer.
      End Date The end date when the credits allocated to the customer expire.
      Overall Summary
      # Credits Consumed The total number of credits consumed for all the workloads configured for backup  for the customer.
      # Number of Backup Sets The number of backup sets backed up for the customer.
      Summary by Workloads
      Workload The name of the workload whose resources are configured for backup.
      # Credit Consumed (GB) The number of credits consumed by resources belonging to a particular workload for the customer.
      # Consumed % The percentage of the credits consumed by resources of a particular workload with respect to the total credit consumption for resources belonging to all workloads.
      Summary by Organizations
      Organization The name of the organization in which the resources of the workloads are configured for backup.  
      # Credit Consumed The number of credits consumed by resources belonging to a particular organization for the customer.
      # Consumed % The percentage of the credits consumed by resources of a particular organization with respect to the total credit consumption for resources belonging to all organizations.
      Credit and Storage Consumption Itemized This section granular insights of the credit and storage consumption for resources belonging to workloads in each organization. The details include organization name, workload name, administrative group of the resources, resource name, backup set name, effective allocation date of credits, and the total credits consumed.
