Managing Reports

Apply filters

You can apply filters on the section level or at the report level to generate customized reports. For example, you can add a filter for date and generate a report for the specified time period.

You can create multiple report-level filters and apply them for future use.

To apply a filter the report

  1. In the filter pane click (+) Add. 

  2. Select the column type based on which you want to filter the report

  3. Click Apply.

  4. The report is displayed as per the created filter.

To apply a filter to section

  1. Click the filter option. 

  2. Select the column type based on which you want to filter the section 

  3. Click Apply.

Subscribe to a report

As an MSP Administrator, you can subscribe yourself and other administrators to the reports for tracking all activities. The reports are sent through emails to the subscribed recipients based on the defined schedules.

To subscribe to a report

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center.

  2. In the top navigation, click MSP Reports.

  3. Click the report that you want to subscribe to.

  4. On the Report Details page, click Manage Subscriptions.

  5. In the Email Addresses box, enter the email addresses of the administrators that you want to configure for receiving reports. 

  6. In the Schedule section, click the toggle button to enable or disable the report subscription.

  7. Set the Recurrence to daily, weekly, or monthly

  8. Based on the Recurrence, select when you want the recurrence to repeat. For example, if the Recurrence is set to weekly, In the Repeat drop-down, select the day of the week you want the report to be sent to you. 

  9. In the Time Zone drop-down list, select the server time zone to generate the report.

  10. In the Time field, specify the time to trigger the report. Specify AM or PM appropriately.

    Note: The Time field follows the administrator’s time zone.
  11. Click Save.

The report in tabular format is sent through an email to the subscribed recipients based on the schedule.

Email a report 

MSP administrators can configure the MSC portal to send a report to the intended recipient’s email addresses on demand.

To email a repory

  1. Log in to the Managed Services Center.

  2. In the top navigation, click MSP Reports.

  3. Click the report that you want to send to the administrators

  4. On the Report Details page, click Email Report.
    The Email Report page opens with the report name listed in the Summary section.

  5. Select the Attachment Format. You can choose PDF or CSV

  6. In the Recipients section,  enter the email addresses of the administrators to whom you want to send reports.

  7. Select the Add me to the recipient’s list check box to add your email address to the list of recipients’ email addresses. 

  8. Click Send Email.

The report is generated in tabular format and sent through an email to the intended recipients.

Download report sections

You can download the information in each section of a report in a PDF or CSV format.

Click on the download option available with each section and select the format you want.
