How to send inSync application logs from a mobile device running on iOS or Android ?

This article applies to:

  • OS: iOS and Android
  • Product edition: inSync Cloud, inSync GovCloud and inSync On-Premise

Overview

If you face any login issues while using the inSync mobile app on your mobile device, you can use the Report a problem feature to contact your inSync administrator or Druva technical support. The feature allows you to send an email describing the problem. inSync mobile app automatically attaches inSync logs in a zip file to that email.

This article explains steps to send the log files without logging into inSync app.

Send app logs from mobile device on iOS

  1. Open the mobile app on your device.
  2. Click ? Trouble logging in. This will open app help.
  3. On the top right corner, click on the  circle with exclamation mark as shown below:


    A new email window is displayed. Device information is automatically added to the email and application logs are attached in a .zip file.

     

4.    Enter the email address of the recipient and click Send. You can send it to your inSync administrator or Druva technical support.

  1. Open the mobile app on your device.
  2. Click ? Trouble logging in. This will open app help.
  3. On the top right corner, click on the three vertical dots as shown below:


    This will display a Report a problem option. 
  4. Click Report a problem. A new email window is displayed. Device information is automatically added to the email and application logs are attached in a .zip file.

  5. Enter the email address of the recipient and send the mail. You can send it to your inSync administrator or Druva technical support.
