Vmware Proxy Deployer fails to deploy proxy with Failed to call the OVA URL

Problem description

This error can be experienced if we are not able to connect to downloads.druva.com

Traceback

 

[INFO] ova_path /root/ovas/Druva_Phoenix_BackupProxy_vcenter_latest.ova

[ERROR] Failed to call the OVA URL - https://downloads.druva.com/downloads/Phoenix/VMware/vcenter/Druva_Phoenix_BackupProxy_vcenter_latest.ova

[ERROR] Error <class 'requests.exceptions.ConnectionError'>:HTTPSConnectionPool(host='downloads.druva.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /downloads/Phoenix/VMware/vcenter/Druva_Phoenix_BackupProxy_vcenter_latest.ova (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPSConnection object at 0x7f5d85cf4f50>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 110] Connection timed out',)). Solution

If there is a firewall in the environment then allow “*.druva.com” from the firewall to connect the URL (downloads.druva.com)
