Problem description
The VMware app-aware backup process completes with a status of "Successful with Errors".
Cause
App-Aware option has been selected for a non-SQL Server application.

Resolution
- If the affected server is not a SQL Server, follow these steps to disable the App-Aware option in the affected Backup Policy:
- Log in to the Druva Phoenix console and navigate to the Protect > VMware Workload
- Select vCenter/ESX host
- Go to the Configured Servers/Virtual Machine section.
- Select the affected server and click on the Backup Policies tab.
- Select the Backup Policy and click on Edit.
- Under Backup Schedule, click Edit on the right hand side, then locate and disable the App-Aware option.
- Save the changes and run the backup job again.
- If there is a mixed environment which has SQL and Non-SQL Servers, follow these steps to create 2 different backup policies, with and without App-Aware Option:
- Log in to the Druva Phoenix console and navigate to the Protect > VMware Workload
- Select vCenter/ESX host.
- Navigate to the Backup Policies page.
- Click on the Create Backup Policy button.
- Give the Backup Policy a name, such as "SQL Servers Backup Policy".
- In the backup options, select the App-Aware option and configure it according to your needs.
- Save the Backup Policy.
- Repeat the above steps to create a new Backup Policy for Non-SQL Servers, but this time disable the App-Aware option.
- Save the Backup Policy.
- Assign the appropriate Backup Policy to each server based on their type.
- Run the backup job for each Backup Policy.
