Login to backup proxy failed with ‘Authentication token manipulation error’
This article applies to:
- Product edition: Phoenix
When you try to log on to the system running backup proxy using root credentials, login fails with "Authentication token manipulation error’ message.
This message is displayed if you try to enter a new password under ‘(current) UNIX password’ section. You may have used root as the username as well as the default password to log on to the proxy.
You encounter this issue when the backup proxy is deployed and you log on to it for the first time. Ensure that when you are prompted for the current password, enter the same default password again. Enter the new password when prompted to do so.
Note: The default password for backup proxy is ‘druvaphoenix’.
