How to view the user/admin privileges for backup, restore, and OVA deployment in vCenter or ESXi

Steps

1. Login to vCenter - vSphere client

2. Select Menu as shown in figure

3. Click on “Administration”.

4. Click on the Roles option on the left-hand side.

5. On the Roles page, Select Role provider and Click on a specific role such as Administrator

6. Click on privileges to view the list of privileges for a specific role.

7. You can verify the required vCenter or ESXi user permissions for backup, restore, and OVA deployment & add any missing permissions by comparing it with the doc.
