Problem description

Adding Client Credentials in Druva CloudRanger for Druva Cloud Storage access fails with the Error below:

'Credential with this name already exists. Provide a unique name'

clipboard_e0184898333bc282f6278c7e3a4f24162.png

Cause

  • When adding Client Credentials in Druva CloudRanger the 'Parameter Store Name' field is filled by the user.
  • The 'Parameter Store Name' is the name given to the set of Credentials added in Druva CloudRanger. This parameter should be unique.
  • The 'Parameter Store Name' is filled in the CloudRanger console by default.
  • Adding the Client Credentials fails with the Error above because a previous attempt to add Client Credentials was done using the same 'Parameter Store'. The new attempt is failing because the ‘Parameter Store Name’ cannot be duplicated.

Resolution

To resolve this issue you must give a different and unique name to the 'Parameter Store' when adding the Client Credentials.
