Administrators Settings

Overview

Using the MSP Management Console, on the Administrator tab, the administrator can view the list of MSP console administrators, add a new administrator, or edit the existing administrator details. 

To add a new administrator

  1. On the inSync MSP Console menu bar, click Settings > Administrators.
  2. The list of existing administrators is displayed. Click Add Administrator.

  1. On the Create New Administrator window, enter the administrator's details and click Done. The new administrator name is added to the list of administrators.

To manage existing administrator

To edit an administrator's details

  1. On the inSync MSP Console menu bar, click Settings > Administrators.
  2. The list of administrators is displayed. Click on the administrator name to edit the information.

  1. Click Edit. The Edit Administrator window is displayed. Update/edit the required information. Click Save.

To delete an existing administrator

  1. On the inSync MSP Console menu bar, click Settings > Administrators.
  2. Click Delete to delete the existing administrator. 

Note: Deleting an MSP Administrator will also delete all the linked inSync Management Console Administrators which are created using this MSP administrator's email id. 

If the MSP Administrator is the only inSync Management Console Administrator for a customer, then none of the inSync Management Console Administrators will be deleted and the MSP Administrator will also not be deleted.

To reset the inSync MSP administrator's password

  1. On the inSync MSP Console menu bar, click Settings > Administrators.
  2. Click Reset Password to reset the administrator password.
  3. Click Yes on the confirmation window.
