Release Details

New features and enhancements

The following table lists the new features and enhancements for 5.9 CU7:

Enhancements
  • ConnectWise-MSP Integration
    The key features of ConnectWise - MSP integration are:
  • Ability to link MSP accounts to ConnectWise companies for ticketing.
  • Ability to send Druva inSync alerts to ConnectWise Service Desk as tickets.
  • Ability to monitor the integration through MSP portal and receive email status reports.

To know more about how MSPs can integrate the inSync MSP Portal with their ConnectWise installation, see ConnectWise-MSP Integration.

If ConnectWise is integrated, a new field - Custom Identifier will be displayed when you add a new customer or edit an exiting customer. For more information, see Add a New Customer.

  • Ability to Edit Customer details

With this release, Managed Service Providers (MSP) Administrators can now edit Organization Name, Phone, Comments and Custom Identifier details. For more information, see Edit a Customer.

Enhancements
  • License & Packaging changes for Managed Service Providers 
    New Section added for Customer Creation and Customer Edit - Data Source & User Count for Enterprise, Elite and Elite Plus editions.  For more information, see Add a new customerEdit a Customer.

  • Cloud Apps option not available as an Add-On for Business editions.

 

The following table lists the new features and enhancements for 5.8 CU11:

Enhancements
  • Managed Service Provider enhancements
    With this release, Managed Service Providers (MSP) Administrators can extend the trial extension duration for Evaluation customers once for 7, 15 or 30 days. This capability is also provided to MSPs who have been granted access to directly create evaluation accounts without Druva involvement. 

The following table lists the new features and enhancements for 5.8 CU10:

Enhancements
  • Managed Service Provider enhancements
    With this release, some Managed Service Providers (MSPs) can be granted access to directly create commercial accounts or upgrade evaluation accounts to commercial accounts without Druva involvement. In order to use this capability, MSPs should contact their Druva account representative.

 

The following table lists the new features and enhancements for 5.8 CU7:

Fixed Issues
  • 38109 - MSP Cloud administrator, having seamless access to MSP portal, was allowed to be changed to a Legal administrator role.
  • 38113 - An error was displayed while trying to modify MSP Cloud administrator details.

Known Issues
  • 38109 - MSP Cloud administrator, having seamless access to MSP portal, can be changed to a Legal administrator role.

The following table lists the new features and enhancements for 5.8 CU3:

Enhancements
  • Ability to seamlessly log on to inSync Management Console directly from MSP Portal
    MSP administrators can now directly log on to their inSync Management Console from MSP console, and perform required activities, based on the assigned role, for their customers.
  • Global Search
    MSP administrators can quickly search their customer accounts by typing customer name attribute in the Search box located at the top-right corner of MSP Portal. The search box is available on the MSP Dashboard page and Manage Customers page.
  • Enhanced alerts and reports
    • Improved Customer identification in alerts
      MSP administrators who manage multiple customer accounts, can now see the customer name in the notification that is generated for an alert or report.

Note:

After this upgrade,

  • All MSP administrator accounts password will be reset. 
  • At least two administrators should be active in the MSP Management Console wherein the secondary administrator can reset account passwords in case the primary administrator's account gets locked out.
  • All MSP administrators will receive a system generated email containing new password to access their accounts.
  • All MSP administrators can use the same login credentials, their primary email address and password, to access all inSync customer accounts.

Managed Service Provider Console

  
Using the MSP Management Console, the MSP administrators can perform the following core tasks:
• Create customer licenses
• Upgrade customers from evaluation to commercial
• Suspend customer accounts
• Change co-branding settings
• Manage administrators
• Update details on the Partner Sync portal

Known issues

The following table lists the known issues that exist in version 5.6 CU1:

Issue Description

33864

On the My Account page, the administrators email address is displayed instead of the administrator's name and the phone number is not displayed for upgraded MSP Administrators. 

33888 After editing a Commercial customer who has selected Unlimited Total Users and Unlimited Total Storage, the Total Storage value is not displayed correctly incase we edit the Storage value again.
33914 MSP console interface does not display properly or does not function as intended in Internet Explorer.
33868 When the Total User limit of an existing customer is edited, there is no error message displayed even if the maximum user limit has been consumed.
