Overview

The Druva Mobile App allows you access to your backup and share data from your mobile device anytime, anywhere. The Druva Mobile App also gives you complete security, control, and visibility of your data.

The following table lists the advantages of using the Druva Mobile App.

  • Allows you to access content that Druva backs up from any device.

Secure data backup and restore
  • Allows you to back up corporate data on Android devices.

  • Allows you to access and restore older versions of your backed-up content.

  • Allows you to back up content on the Android SD card.

  • Allows you to restore device data.

  • Encrypts corporate data on Android devices.

Data protection
  • Allows your administrator to remotely wipe corporate data if your Mobile device is lost or stolen.

  • Allows your administrator to track your device.

  • Allows you to share files with other users securely.

  • Allows you to stay informed about all activities, with real-time notifications.

Note: You must have a Druva account to use the Druva Mobile App . Contact your Druva administrator if you do not have an account.

Druva Mobile App features and their availability

If your administrator enabled certain features for you, when you log on to the Druva Mobile App for the first time, you must perform additional configuration steps before using the Druva Mobile App.
The following table lists these features and the additional steps that you must perform on your mobile devices after you log on to the Druva Mobile App.

If your administrator enabled this feature for you On Android
PIN or Passcode When you log on to the Druva Mobile App, the Use PIN window appears. Perform the following steps:
  1. Type the new PIN.
  2. Type the new PIN again.
Backup Services No action required.
Data Protection Services When you log on to the Druva Mobile App, the Device Admin screen appears. Perform the following step:
  • Tap Activate.
Device Trace

When you log on to the Druva Mobile App, the Location Service screen appears. Perform the following step:

  1. Tap ENABLE LOCATION SERVICE. The Location services screen appears.
  2. Tap Access to my location.
