Public folder Backup and Restore Report

Overview

inSync can be configured to backup and restore Public folder data, such as metadata and configuration settings, email data, and so on. If you have configured Public folder data for backup and restore, then you can find additional details or statistics in a report for backup and restore activities performed during a specific time period.

The Public folder Backup and Restore Report helps you to understand the following:

  • List of backed up or restored Public folder
  • Backup or restore status
  • Date and time of the backup or restore activity
  • Date intervals considered for the backup and restore report
  • Data size of the backed up or restored Public folder

Access Path

On the inSync Management Console menu bar, click Reports and click Public folder Backup and Restore Report.

Understanding the Public folder Backup and Restore Report

The Public folder Backup and Restore Report displays the following statistics.

Field  Description
Report Duration

The date intervals considered for the backup and restore report.

You can select the time period for the report from the dropdown available at the top-right corner of the page.

Public folder Name The name of the Public folder, which was backed up or restored.
Activity Time The date and time of the backup or restore activity in DD MMM YYYY HH:MM format as per UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) time zone.
Activity Type The type of activity.
Status

The status of the backup or restore activity. The types of status are as follows:

  • Backed Up Successfully - This status is applicable if the backup completes successfully without any errors.

  • Backup Failed - This status is applicable if the backup fails.

  • Backed Up With Errors - This status is applicable if the backup is completed with errors.

  • Never backed up - This status is applicable if the Public folder is never backed up.

  • Backup Cancelled - This status is applicable if the backup was cancelled.

  • Restore Successful - This status is applicable if the restore is successful without any errors.

  • Restore Failed -  This status is applicable if the restore fails.

  • Restored with Errors - This status is applicable if the restore is completed with errors.

  • Restore Cancelled - This status is applicable if the restore was cancelled.

Data Size (MB) The size of the backed up or restored Public folder.
Details Additional details, if any.

Option Description
Download Enables you to download the report in HTML or CSV format.
Email Enables you to send the report to intended recipients in HTML or CSV format.
