Email logs from the mobile device

This section describes the steps to send the mobile device logs as an email attachment. The inSync Administrator or Druva Support may request for logs to diagnose and resolve any issues with the inSync app installed on the device.

Email logs from the inSync app

To send logs from the inSync app:

  1. Login to the inSync app from your mobile device.
  2. Go to Settings > About inSync > Report a problem.
    The app displays a list of applications installed on the mobile device, including the email applications.
  3. Select the appropriate email app to email the logs.
    The inSync app creates a text file of the logs and attaches the file to the email.

To send logs when you cannot login to the inSync app:

  1. Open the login screen of the inSync app from your mobile device.
  2. Click Trouble logging in.  The app opens the login help page.
  3. Select the menu icon on the help page and click Report a Problem from the menu.
    The app displays a list of applications installed on the mobile device, including the email applications.
  4. Select the appropriate email app to email the logs.
    The inSync app creates a text file of the logs and attaches the file to the email
