External hard disk drives may contain huge end user personal data, which is not important for your organization. If the end user has explicitly configured to back up external hard disk drives for backup, it may result in storage cost for your organization.

As an administrator, you can configure inSync to exclude any external hard disk drives connected to the end user device from backup.
