Apply a label to policies

Overview

You can apply a label to an AppConnect configuration, AppConnect container, and AppConnect security policies. The following points list the scenarios when you want to apply each type of label:

  • If you want to silently activate the inSync for MobileIron app on user devices, you can apply a label to an AppConnect configuration policy. If you do not apply a label to an AppConnect configuration policy, the inSync for MobileIron users must manually activate the inSync for MobileIron app on their iOS devices by providing their user credentials. For more information on how to create an AppConnect configuration policy, see Create and manage AppConnect configuration policies.
  • If you want to push data protection settings to the inSync for MobileIron app, you can apply a label to an AppConnect container policy. For more information on how to create an AppConnect container policy, see Create and manage AppConnect container policies.
  • If you want to monitor iOS devices for compliance, you can apply a label to an AppConnect security policy. For more information on how to create a security policy, see Create and manage AppConnect security policies.
