Overview

You link the Druva Mobile App for iOS devices with MaaS360 Server. The MaaS360 Server will directly add the latest Druva Mobile App for iOS devices.

You can then configure the Druva Mobile App with the required policies and push the Druva Mobile App to the iOS devices of users. You can easily push updated configuration policies from MaaS360 to the Druva Mobile App on the iOS device. This ensures that the Druva Mobile App is updated without user intervention.

Before you begin

Before you link the Druva Mobile App to the MaaS360 Server, ensure the following:

  • You have a MaaS360 administrator account.
  • You have created the inSync user accounts for the Druva Mobile App users.
If you have an inSync On-Premises account, for more information on how you can add users, see Add and manage users.
If you have a inSync Cloud account, for more information on how you can add users, see Add and manage users.

  6. Under the Configuration tab, provide the following information:

    Key Value

    serverAddress

Enter the inSync Server name. For example, cloud.druva.com

    EmailAddress

    Enter the value %email%.

This key will fetch the email ID of the inSync user and update automatically while accessing the Druva Mobile App.

    massDeploymentToken

You require this token for authenticating the Druva Mobile App with inSync Server.

To configure the policies on Druva Mobile App, you must have a mass deployment token. The mass deployment token allows you to distribute and silently activate the Druva Mobile App on multiple iOS devices.

For more information about how you can generate a mass deployment token in your inSync On-Premises environment, see Generate a mass deployment token.
For more information about how you can generate a mass deployment token in your inSync Cloud environment, see Generate a mass deployment token.

    allowCopy

Enter Yes to allow copy of the content from the files, else enter No to restrict copying the file contents.

    allowPrint

Enter Yes to allow printing of the files, else enter No to restrict the printing of the files.

    allowOpenIn

Enter Yes to allow opening the file in other app, else enter No to restrict opening the file in other apps.
    appsWhiteList

Enter the comma-separated bundle ID of the apps that you want to open your file in. inSync lets you open the file only in those apps.

For example, to allow the file to open in Microsoft Office Mobile, then enter com.microsoft.Office.Word. To allow the file to open in Dropbox, enter com.getdropbox.Dropbox.

To enable the Share via email option, whitelist Apple Mail by adding the following bundle ID: com.apple.mobilemail

You must specify allowOpenIn as Yes, and then specify which apps you want the files to open in. You cannot specify allowOpenIn as Yes, and then keep this field blank; this will, in turn, show an error message. You must specify a value here.

To allow the file to open in any app, do not enter this key.

If you specify allowOpenIn as No, then the file will not open in any app except in Druva Mobile App.

    Note

    • The key values are case sensitive.
    • If you do not add the allowCopy, allowPrint, allowOpenIn keys, inSync by default allows copying, printing and opening of files in other apps.

The Druva Mobile App gets connected to MaaS360 Server. Additionally, the configuration and security policies get saved to the Druva Mobile App.

For example, if you have defined allowOpenIn as No, then the user will not be able to open the file in any other app, and will encounter the following error:
