inSync Federated Search is available as a separate module within inSync to all Legal administrators. Legal administrators can search the backup data for files and emails associated with legal holds and custodians (users) on legal hold.

Federated Search provides Legal administrators with a user interface to search the files and emails backed up by inSync. Legal administrators can also download the files and emails for offline analysis.

The search and download capability of Federated Search reduces the dependency of Legal administrators on Cloud administrators and provides them with quick and easy access to a particular file or email in case of a legal incident. By using Federated Search , Legal administrators can:

• Search files using filename and checksums and download files.
• Search and download emails.
• Download search results in the *.CSV format.
