Restore a Snapshot to a Volume
Overview
Druva CloudRanger allows you can restore a snapshot to a new unattached EBS volume, in an Availability Zone of your choice.
Restoring EBS Snapshots to a Volume
To restore a snapshot to a volume:
- Log into your Druva CloudRanger console and navigate to Backups.

Select the EBS snapshot that you wish to restore, and then click Restore.
The Restore Snapshot page displays an overview of the snapshot with the associated tags.
The File Level Recovery option is selected by default. -
Select the Restore as a volume option.
Field
Description
Volume Name
Enter a name for the volume (mandatory).
Volume Size
The volume size in GB.
The value here must be greater than or equal to the backup data size of the snapshot.Volume Type
Volume type for the volume, for example General Purpose SSD.

Select an availability zone within the region where you want the volume to be stored. For more information, see Regions and Availability Zones.

Click Confirm.
The restored snapshots will now be available on the Restores page.
