Enforce user authentication for data restores

Overview
As an inSync administrator, you can make it mandatory for users to provide their inSync account credentials when they restore data by using the inSync client. The following table lists the user actions, and the results when you enforce user authentication for users.
Parameter Setting | User action | Result |
---|---|---|
Parameter is set to True | On the inSync client, user clicks Web. | The inSync Web login page appears. |
Parameter is set to True | On the inSync client, user clicks Restore. | The Restore window appears. The user must use the inSync account credentials to log on. On successful authentication, the user can access the Restore window. |
Parameter is set to False | On the inSync client, user clicks Web. | The user can access the inSync Web without authentication. |
Parameter is set to False | On the inSync client, user clicks Restore. | The user can access the Restore window without authentication. |
Note: If you want to enforce user authentication for data restores, contact Druva Support (support@druva.com. Druva does not recommend updating the configuration settings of the inSyncServer.cfg file on your own.
