Before you begin
Before you manage data volumes on a Linux computer, create the Data folder on your storage media. Ensure that the user insyncserver has group and owner permissions on the Data folder.
Procedure
To add data volumes
- On the inSync Master Management Console menu bar, click Manage > Storage List.
- Under the Storage List tab, click the Storage Name to which you want to add data volumes.
- Under the Summary tab, in the Data Storage Details area, click Add Data Volume. The Edit Storage window appears.
- In the Data folder box, browse to the data folder for the data volume.
- In the Size box, type the size of the data volume in GB or TB.
- Click Add Data Volume.
Note: This feature is available only for performance-based storage.
Update data volume size
To modify the size of a data volume
- On the inSync Master Management Console menu bar, click Manage > Storage.
- Under the Storage List tab, click the Storage Name for which you want to update the data volume size.
- Under the Summary tab, in the Data Storage Details area, click Edit. The Edit Storage Details window appears.
- In the Size box, type the size of the updated data volume.
- Click Save.
Note: This feature is available only for performance-based storage.
Delete data volumes
You cannot delete data volumes. However, you can delete a storage. See Delete a storage.
