inSync Private Cloud Editions: File:/tick.png Elite File:/tick.png Enterprise

inSync Master ports and URL

The following table lists the ports and URL that inSync Master uses.

Ports and URLs Description
Backup/sync port

inSync Master uses this port to accept and sync user data. The default port is 443.

Note: inSync administrator must enable and allow communication to cloud.druva.com through inSync Master over port 443, in case backup for mobile devices is enabled. inSync requires access to cloud.druva.com to send notifications to mobile devices.

Admin UI port inSync Master uses this port to display the inSync Master Management Console. The default port is 443.
HTTPS access to Admin Console and End-User Web UI inSync user uses HTTPS to access inSync Master Management Console and inSync Web.

User web access IP/FQDN

inSync user uses this IP address/FQDN to access inSync Web.

User activation IP/FQDN

inSync uses this IP address/FQDN during user activation.

Note: The backup/sync port is critical for backup and sync operations. If you want to change the inSync Master port, contact Druva Support. Druva does not recommend changing the inSync Master ports on your own.

Procedure

Steps to change the inSync Server port are as follows:

  1. Add the new port to the server configuration
  2. Verify the port change propagation on the user devices
  3. Change the Backup/Sync port
  4. Remove the old port entry

Add the new port to the server configuration

  1. Log in to the inSync Management Console.
  2. Go to mac_tb_settings@2x.png > Settings from the menu bar.

  5. Click OK to save the new port configuration.

Verify the port change propagation on the user devices

  1. Verify whether all the devices are able to establish communication with inSync Server and are able to perform backups.
  2. Verify the port change in the inSync.cfg. The file must have an additional entry on the client device.  If the additional entry is found in inSync.cfg on most devices, it is safe to assume that all devices can connect successfully with the server.

Change the Backup/inSync port

  1. Go to mac_tb_settings@2x.png > Settings from the menu bar.
  2. Open the Network tab and click Edit under Network Settings.  The Edit Settings window opens.
