About Storage Details page
This page gives an in-depth analysis of the selected storage via graphs and tables.
The following table describes the fields in the Summary area:
Field Description Storage Status The health of the storage. Provisioned Users The total number of users linked to the storage.
The amount of space being utilized on the storage.
The size of the storage.
- Usage Growth
The following table describes the fields in the Usage Growth area:
Field Description Share Data The amount of data from the inSync Share folders from user's devices. Backup Data The amount of data from the backup folders from user's devices.
The amount of data in the database folder of the storage.
Storage growth in last 1 month In graphical representation, the amount of data that has changed in the storage during the last 30 days.
- Storage Savings
The following table describes the fields in the Storage Savings area:
Field Description Dedupe Ratio The ratio between the storage space occupied by the backup data after deduplication and the storage space required to store the same data without deduplication. For example, the storage may contain 1 GB of data. However, because of deduplication, only 341 MB of disk space is being occupied in the storage. The deduplication ratio is then 1:3. Storage Savings The amount of storage space saved because of deduplication. Total data vs. disk space In a graphical representation, the amount of data stored in the storage against the actual storage space occupied because of deduplication.
The following table describes the fields in the General Storage Information area:
The name of the storage.
Storage node name The storage node with which the storage is associated. Storage type The type of storage (primary or secondary) you are creating. A secondary storage acts as a fail-back mechanism for the primary storage. Storage pool name The name of the storage pool that the storage is part of.
Data Storage Details
The following table describes the fields in the Data Storage Details area:
Data stored in
The type of storage that contains the data.
Storage consumption alert threshold The threshold value which when crossed, triggers a low disk space alert. For example, if the Max. disk space is 10 TB and Storage consumption alert threshold is 80%, an alert is triggered when 8 TB of storage is consumed. Data volumes The list of data volumes that you created for the storage. Against each data volume, figures indicating the total data on the data volume versus the total size appear.
- Usage Statistics
The following table describes the fields in the Usage Statistics area.
Note: These fields cannot be modified.
Field Description Provisioned users The number of users linked to the storage. Storage size The amount of data that the storage can contain. # data volumes The number of data volumes. Storage used The size of storage consumed. % Storage used The size of storage (in percentage terms) used. Database size The amount of data in the Database folder of the storage. Deduplication ratio The ratio between the storage space occupied by the backup data after deduplication and the storage space required to store the same data without deduplication. For example, a Dedupe Ratio of 1:2.36 indicates that 1 unit of storage space was consumed and the absence of deduplication would have consumed a disk space of 2.36 units. Total full data size The sum of all snapshots for all users associated with the storage after deduplication. Total incremental data size The sum of data backed up by all users associated with the storage in the absence of deduplication.
- Performance & Compaction
Storage Compaction Schedule
The following table describes the fields in the Storage Compaction Schedule area:
Field Description Compact daily from The start time and duration for the daily storage compaction. For example, you may configure the compaction to start every day at midnight and continue for the next 6 hours. The compaction process for the storage will stop at 6:00 AM even if it is not complete. Compact weekly on The scheduled day for weekly compaction for the storage. Compact weekly at The start time and duration for the weekly storage compaction. Country The country whose time zone that inSync follows for data compaction. Time zone The time zone of the country that inSync follows for data compaction.
The following table describes the fields in the Performance area:
Field Description Database folder The Database folder of the data volume. Database log folder The Database Log folder of the data volume. Max. parallel connections The maximum number of parallel connections permitted to the storage.
