This article provides you graphical information on the various entities on your inSync Dashboard page.
Note: Graphical information is displayed based on the inSync license your organization has subscribed to, and the administrator role assigned to your account in inSync.
For example, Legal Hold and DLP information is displayed to you based on the following conditions:
- Your organization has purchased inSync Elite License.
- You are a Server administrator.
inSync Dashboard is best viewed in 1366*768 resolution.
This page gives graphical representation of various entities of your inSync setup.
Users & Devices
The following table lists the fields in the Summary area.
Field Description Users Enabled
The total number of users activated for backup and the total number of users created in your inSync setup.
For example, 25 / 50 indicates that you have created 50 users in inSync, but you have activated only 25 users.
Licensed The total number of licensed users, that you can create in inSync. Devices Enabled
The total number of devices activated and enabled for backup and the total number of devices that has inSync installed.
Legal Hold Policies The number of legal hold policies created in inSync. Custodians The number of users added to the legal hold policy.
Usage trends area displays information for
Select Dedupe Savings in the Usage Trends area to view the savings on your bandwidth, based on the data transferred.
The following table lists the fields in the Dedupe Savings area.
Field Description Dedupe Savings The percentage of bandwidth saved based on the data transferred. Total Data The total data that is generated. Data Transferred The actual data transferred over your network to inSync Cloud.
Select Activities in the Usage Trends area to view:
- The distribution of activities in 24 hours based on backup and restore activities that occurred over the past 30 days. It helps you understand the activities during a particular hour in a day.
- The backup and restore activities that are in progress.
- The data is displayed is as per the timezone of inSync administrator.
Field Description Live Backups The number of backup activities that are in progress on Endpoints. Live Restores The total number of restore activities that are in progress. CPU Usage The CPU Usage of inSync Server in percentage.
Note: The percentage displayed here is the actual CPU used by the inSyncConfigServer process.
Server Start Time Start time of inSync Server in DD MMM YY, HH:MM format.
Data Utilization area provides information on the inSync storage utilized by your organization. The data utilization information is further classified by the following categories, which help you analyze the utilization:
The following table lists the fields in the Data Utilization area.
Total data in inSync storage and the maximum data it can store.
For example, 2.61 GB / 500.00 GB indicates that 2.61 GB data is currently stored in the inSync storage although the storage has a capacity to store 500 GB of data.
|Usage per User||
Average amount of data stored by each inSync user.
Select File types in Data Utilization area to view the storage consumption by the file types backed up in inSync.
The following table lists the fields in the File types area.
|File Type||The list of different file types backed up in inSync.|
|Percentage||Percentage of the total data consumed by each file type backed up in inSync.|
Select Data Source in Data Utilization area to view the storage consumption by data sources configured in inSync.
The following table lists the fields in the Data Source area.
|Data Source Name||The list of different data sources through which data is backed up in inSync.|
|Percentage||Percentage of the total data backed up through each data source.|
Select Profile in Data Utilization area to view the storage consumption by profiles.
The following table lists the fields in the Profile area.
|Profile Name||Name of the inSync profile.|
|Percentage||Percentage of the total data stored by users associated with the profile.|
Backup & Restore Status
Backup & Restore Status area displays information on the backup and restore statistics for the activities occurred on endpoints in your organization.
The following table lists the fields in the graph.
|Windows||The number of devices running on the Windows operating system.|
|Mac OS||The number of devices running on Mac OS.|
|Linux||The number of devices running on the Linux operating system.|
|iOS||The number of devices running on iOS.|
|Android||The number of devices running on the Android mobile operating system.|
|Backed Up Successfully||The number of devices for which the last backup was successful.|
|Backup Failed||The number of devices for which the last backup failed.|
|Backed Up With Errors||The number of devices for which the last backup completed with errors.|
|Inactive||The number of devices that did not communicate with the inSync Master for a specific period or have been deactivated.|
|Never Backed Up||The number of devices that were never backed up.|
|Total Restores (till date)||The total number of devices restored till date.|
The following table lists the fields in the DLP Summary area.
Field Description Devices Traced The total number of devices that DLP is tracing. The location of the traced devices appear as dots on the World map. Encrypted The total number of devices on which the backup data is encrypted. Auto Delete Enabled The total number of devices on which the data in the backup folders is automatically deleted if these devices do not connect to inSync for a specific number of days.
Sync & Share
The following table lists the fields in the Sync & Share area.
|Share Users||The number of users who are using the sharing functionality.|
|Guest Users||The number of guests and the maximum number of share guests. For example, 2 / 25 indicates that 2 out of 25 guests are using Share.|
|Share Usage||The amount of data in the inSync Share folder of all the users.|
|Usage Per user||The average size of data in the inSync share folder of all the users.|
|Share activity over last 90 days||In a graphical representation, the number of folders and download links shared by the users in the last 90 days.|
