Enable SSO for users

Overview

To enable SSO for users, you must enable SSO for an existing user profile. Alternatively, you can create a new profile, and enable SSO for this profile. Thereafter, assign the users to this profile to enable access using SSO.

Note: If you are using Single Sign-On (SSO) for login, then inSync Client users can log in to inSync Client and Web, only when the connection to inSync Master is secured using a Signed SSL/TLS Certificate. 

Step 1 of 2: Create a new profile or update an existing profile

To create a new profile or update an existing profile

  1. On the inSync Master Management Console menu bar, click Profiles.
  2. Create a new profile, and enable SSO for this profile. 
    1. Click Create New Profile.
    2. Follow the instructions in Create a new profile.
    3. On step 4 of the wizard, enable SSO.
    4. Complete the profile creation. 
  3. Update an existing profile.
    1. Click the profile for which you want to enable SSO. 
    2. Click the Backup Policies tab, and click Edit
    3. Enable SSO for this profile. For instructions, see Update a profile
    4. Save your changes. 

Step 2 of 2: Assign users to this profile

To assign users to the profile for which you enabled SSO, follow the instructions in Update the profile assigned to users.
