Manage IP Address or FQDN of inSync Master

Add an IP address or FQDN

You can configure multiple IP addresses or fully qualified domain names (FQDN) that inSync can use to communicate with inSync Master. You can also arrange these IP addresses or FQDNs in the order that you want. You can use the Move Up button to arrange the IP addresses in a desired sequence.

To add an IP address or FQDN

  1. On the inSync Master Management Console menu bar, click Manage > Settings. 
  2. Under the Network tab, in the Server IP / FQDN area, click Add New Server IP / FQDN. The Add Server IP/FQDN window appears.

  3. On the Edit Server IP/FQDN window, provide details on the following:
    Field Action
    IP / FQDN address Type the IP address or FQDN of the inSync Master. 
    TCP port number Type the TCP port number of the inSync Master. 
    Network type Click the network type. If you set the Network type to AUTO, inSync identifies with time-to-live (TTL) connections of 20 ms, or higher, as WAN.
  4. Click Ok.

Update an IP address or FQDN

To update an IP address or FQDN

  1. On the inSync Master Management Console menu bar, click Manage > Settings. 
  2. Under the Network tab, in the Server IP / FQDN area, click the IP address that you want to change and click Edit. The Edit Server IP/FQDN window appears.
  3. Update the IP / FQDN address.
  4. Update the TCP port number.
  5. Update the Network type
  6. Click Ok.

Delete an IP address or FQDN

To delete an IP address or FQDN

  1. On the inSync Master Management Console menu bar, click Manage > Settings. 
  2. Under the Network tab, in the Server IP Address area, select the IP address that you want to delete, and click Delete
